Dignity of Two
Senseless
though it may seem,
lower yourself to me;
we should embody
the dignity of two;
meager though I am,
I might
round out the brace,
perhaps give as much
as I intend to take.
tangential worries
need not define us.
even should you,
my savior, come
tracking thistledown
and panting a prayer,
there is nothing amiss
in yearning for Paradise.
